Cisco Codina

Francisco Codina is a distinguished alumnus of Culverhouse College of Business and a past chairman of the Culverhouse Board of Visitors. Born in Manzanillo, Cuba, Codina immigrated to the U.S. when he was 14 years old. He grew up in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, where his father practiced medicine. Codina graduated from UA in 1975 and joined Ford Motor Company in 1977. He is credited with establishing the company’s marketing in Argentina and Mexico. In 2007, Codina retired from Ford after 30 years with the company. He then joined Dealer Tire — the 2nd largest tire and parts distributor in the country — in 2008 as an advisor and later, as a partner and board member. He also continues his long-standing support of Culverhouse, including speaking at the 2019 International Business Symposium.
